Redshape has completed two more tracks for release on his own Present label. Well actually it's two versions of the same track, 'Made of Steel'. In original form it's a fairly loose limbed and cartwheeling track with lively drums, blurting synth patterns and the man's usual grainy surfaces all on display. A subtle vocal element is buried deep in the mix to help ignite and seduce dancefloors, whilst the 'Punked' version of the same cut is more raw, direct and angry. The drums jostle and wrestle with tortured sounding pads and as it goes on the machines take on an unhinged life of their own.
